We met in our 9th-period Geometry class our sophomore year of high school. Seth and I both live in Findlay, OH. We dated throughout high school and fell in love within weeks of dating. Everyone told us not to get too serious and plan our lives around each other because most high school relationships don’t last. We didn’t really listen to that advice because we were teenagers and knew we would last.
Once we graduated high school, I decided to go to college in Cleveland, OH for fashion design while Seth decided to take a few classes at the community college in Findlay. I was 3 hours away and although that doesn’t seem like a far distance, it was the furthest we had ever been from each other. We made it work with phone calls, FaceTime calls, and texts but I ultimately decided that fashion wasn’t for me and moved back home to Findlay to pursue a degree in marketing and to be close.
This was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Our relationship continued and after a year, Seth proposed to me on October 11, 2015 at the Findlay reservoir, it was one of our favorite spots.
I was in complete shock, the moment that I had waited 4 years for was finally happening.
Seth’s brother and friend were there to take pictures. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.
In 2016, I graduated college and we got married. We had our dream wedding on July 22, 2016, at the Grand Barn in Glenmont, OH. It was everything we could’ve dreamed of and all of our friends and family were there, including our teacher from our 9th-period Geometry class. It was truly the best day of our lives.
Married life is beyond our expectations and I swear I fall more and more in love with him every day. Since getting married, we are still in Findlay. We bought our first home in April of 2017 and have become dog parents to our rescue, Riley.
And that’s the story of how we met, fell in love, and are living out our happily ever after!
We just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary, looking through all of our books. We plan on getting a book for every year of marriage (if we have enough pictures)! But just so we have them and then our kids can look through them someday.
