There are a few good reasons why crinkle cut cookies are a holiday tradition:

  1. These cookies are so good you need the holidays to force moderation.
  2. This particular type of cookie offers the perfect amount of sweetness. The deep, rich chocolate flavor will lead you to be satisfied after only a few, yet leave room for you to try a few other sweet treats from the holiday table.
  3. The powder sugar finish creates a festive snowy appearance.  
  4. Crinkle sounds very similar to Kringle, as in Kris Kringle, AKA Santa Claus!
