In honor of our baby boy Hudson’s first Christmas, we made him his very own family album. All of his immediate family are pictured, and described as he will likely come to know them: Mommy and Daddy, Grandpas and Grandmas. We even included a few of him, both just hours before he arrived and just hours after. Not only are we thrilled to share this with him, we had a wonderful time putting it together–selecting special photos and imagining the stories we will tell as we flip through the pages with him on our laps. I know it might be a while before he (just four months old) pours over the pages as we already have, but I also know it will be a gift that endures beyond just this year.
This idea came from Ashley Muir Bruhn of Hither Thither.

Great idea! I’ve never seen one of these books with a wire binding. I love how the pages lay flat this way.

Love the idea, a great way to put family and names when he is a little older he will know all his family even if they live far away.

What a great idea! We have a 3 month old son and have been trying to figure out what we should get for him for Christmas…this is perfect! I’m also going to be making some personal notepads with his photo for the Grandmas!

What an awesome idea – and how much fun would this be to run across 20, or even 50 years later!
