There’s no doubt that a friendly dinner party is the best time to bring out those embarrassing photos of our friends that we secretly tuck away for future social occasions. (Don’t you act like you haven’t done this!)
I recently had the chance to mingle with friend and professional photographer Ned Jackson at an event he hosted at his house and decided that the best way to get people talking – and to surprise Ned – was to showcase a funny photo of him.
His “mug” on the bottle of wine? Why not! People were certainly talking and curious about the story behind the photo. My plan worked!
Everyone also left the dinner party with a photo pad of Ned behind the lens, and the party gift went over extremely well.
It just goes to show that a photo may be worth 1,000 words – but an embarrassing funny photo is practically priceless.

This is an awesome idea for a host/hostess gift. And yes we all have those embarrassing pics of our friends that “they” would love to destroy if only they could get ahold of them. Perfect idea for conversation starters at any type of party in my opinion. I think these would be excellent for a 21st birthday or a bachelorette/bachelor party. Or even for wedding gifts for the wedding party.
